Privacy Policy — SELF

SELF ("the App") is a fitness tracking app that turns workouts into game-style missions, XP, and levels. This policy describes what data the App collects, why, and how you can remove it. SELF is operated by Aryan Tech World ([email protected]).

Data we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the App's actual features:

• Account data — the email address and password you register with (passwords are hashed with bcrypt; we never store or can see your plaintext password), and the display name you choose.
• Fitness & progression data you generate in the App — completed missions and workout sessions, exercises and rep counts you log during a workout, XP, level, streak, unlocked achievements/badges, and in-app coin balance.
• Guild data — if you join or create a Guild, your display name, level, and workout/mission activity relevant to shared challenges are visible to other members of that same Guild. Guilds are private, invite-code-only — this is never shown outside your Guild.
• Purchase records — if you buy in-app coins, we store the pack purchased, amount, and PayPal order status. We never see or store your card number or PayPal login — payment is handled entirely by PayPal; see PayPal's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
• Notifications — in-app notifications (mission ready, level up, streak reminders, etc.) generated from your own activity above. These are shown inside the App only, not sent as push/email/SMS.

What we don't collect

• No advertising or analytics SDKs are included in the App — we don't track you across other apps or websites, and there are no ads.
• No location data, contacts, camera, microphone, or device sensor access.
• No health/wearable device integration exists yet, so no data of that kind is collected.

How we use your data

Solely to operate the App: authenticating you, calculating and displaying your progression (level/XP/streak/attributes), generating your daily mission, running Guild challenges and leaderboards, and processing coin purchases. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Where your data lives

All account and progression data is stored in a private PostgreSQL database we operate. All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Authentication uses stateless signed tokens (JWTs) stored only on your own device.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account → Danger Zone inside the App (requires re-entering your password to confirm). This permanently removes your profile, mission/workout history, XP transactions, achievements, badges, notifications, and Guild membership — this action cannot be undone. You can also email [email protected] to request deletion.

Children's privacy

SELF is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
